LILLY'S PLAYDATE WITH SOREN!

What a fun afternoon! Lilly had a playdate with Soren yesterday, which gave Suzanne and I a chance to hang out and catch up a little bit. At first Lilly and Soren were both shy, which was adorable!

Here is Suzanne getting to know Zac a little better!
Lilly and Soren had a great time playing with this train - you can not imagine all the things this toy does!

Still playing. I think Lilly was saying "mine" with the toy in her right hand. She is just about 2 years old after all!

Story time!

It was a very fun time for all of us! Thanks Suzanne and Soren - we'll need to do it again soon!! We even talked about starting a "play group" with other kids! How fun!
This final picture was taken before we went to Suzanne's. Jeremy was playing with Zac and making him smile - this was the best picture I could get, but you can tell he's smiling and super happy! Jeremy has always been able to get the best smiles and belly laughs from Lilly, and it looks like he's just as much of a pro with Zac!

COFFEE, PASTRIES & GREAT COMPANY!

Great grandma and grandpa Palmer and cousin Kay came over for coffee and breakfast this morning. They brought a delicious blueberry coffee cake and oranges, and Kendra brought apples and muffins and apple turnovers. It was all delicious, but I'm afraid that my family is trying to sabotage my weight loss efforts!!
Grandma made new hats for Lilly and Zac! Here is Lilly's - complete with bows since she loves bows so much!!

Here is Zac with his new hat!!
Here is grandma, Kay, and grandpa Pop!

Grandma holding Zac, and Kendra in the background - she is still glowing! :)

And my parents with Lilly, and Pop looking on!

Poor Jeremy had to work this morning, but here is a picture of him with the kids taken a day or two ago... Lilly loves to hold Zac!

Thanks again for the yummy breakfast and the great company, not to mention the new hats! We love you all!!

1 & 23 MONTHS!

Lilly and Zac are 23 months and 1 month old, respectfully. This isn't a great picture, but it has been a crazy day! Naturally, the camera batteries were charging when Lilly was holding Zac, which would have made a much cuter pic!

Here, we are playing outside. This is minutes after Aretha Franklin sang at Obama's inauguration. Lilly saw the huge bow on her hat and HAD to put multiple bows, clips, ties, etc in her hair. This is after looking at me like I am the worst mom ever for not having a bow the appropriate size to compete with Aretha.

Back to just one bow... Lilly picked up this gift bag and informed me that it was her "purse" (a word I didn't know she knew), and proceeded to fill it with important things such as crayons, blocks, a toothbrush and her toy phone. They grow up so fast!

I really can't believe that my little boy is 1 month old and my little girl is only 1 month away from being two! Where does the time go?!?

VISIT FROM GRANDMA & GRANDPA YAGER!!

What a great weekend! Grandma and grandpa Yager got here Friday night, and we crammed so much fun into the weekend.

SATURDAY we started out at the zoo! Here is grandma & grandpa with Lilly

And here they are with Zac! It was his first trip to the zoo... but he slept most of the time!

Next, we went to Bison Witches for lunch. Look at the size of that grilled cheese!!

Here we all are, stuffed and happy!

Then we headed to the U of A. After walking the mall and exploring, we went to the bookstore.

Then back to our house for dinner and playtime. Here is Lilly opening one of many many presents from her grandparents!

And after opening another present... her very own windmill!

And Zac... still sleeping....

SUNDAY we went to the Pima Air and Space Museum...
What huge planes!

This was Kennedy's Air Force One plane!

After the Museum, we headed up to Mt. Lemon. This is our picnic with Eegees on the way up!

Lilly and grandpa enjoying the view!

Lilly and daddy enjoying the snow!

Then, we went to my parent's house for dinner. Here are the men manning the BBQ.

Grandma with Zac.

He's awake! And, his eyes look blue!! (My fingers are crossed that they stay that way)

Yummy dinner!

Lilly enjoyed it too.

The women chatting after dinner.

Great grandpa Palmer and Cousin Kay watching the football game.

Grandpa and Zac bonding.

Zac with his daddy, both grandpa's and his great grandpa.

It really was a great weekend, and we are so glad they came to visit!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! We love you and can't wait to see you again soon!!

AHHH THE BABY WEIGHT!

Ok, so I'm back on the Weight Watchers wagon now that Zac has been born. I'm NOT going to post my current or goal weight, but I think I will post my weekly loss or gain, in the hopes that knowing I have to post it for all my family and friends will help keep me true to the plan. As far as how much I want to lose... let's just say a lot. I started back last week and weighted in today.

Week one results... my weight is down 4.2!!

BABY FORGACS!

As many of you know, my sister and Stevie are expecting a baby at the end of May. Yesterday was their ultrasound. Great news! The baby looks healthy and everything looks normal and perfect. They also decided to find out the sex. And, the baby is... Modest!! The doctor never got a good enough view to tell if it is a boy or girl. Stay tuned... they'll look again in about a month!

Here is the happy expectant couple...

And one of just my sis... isn't she glowing??

TACO NIGHT!

We went to great grandma and grandpa Palmer's for Taco Night last night! Yum!

Always the life of the party... check out Zac's sweater vest outfit! ha!
Lilly and daddy playing.
Here is Lilly and cousin Ben both sporting their hats from grandma!

Thanks grandma and grandpa for a fun and yummy evening! Love you!

5 FUN THINGS ABOUT THE YAGERS!

My friend Natalie posted "things" that people don't know about herself, her husband, their son and even their dog on her blog ("A Beagle and a Baby"). Then, at the end she challenged me to do the same! So... here we go. But, I'm combining my list into 5 things you may or may not know about us Yagers!

1. Jeremy and I met at a bar. In fact, I walked up to him and slammed my drink into his, making it so he had to drink very quickly so it didn't spill. Ahh those good 'ol careless days!!

2. Lilly has a crooked fanny! We do have pictures, but I'm hesitant to post them due to this being a public blog!

3. Zac shared the womb with not one but TWO placentas. Was twins a possibility at one time? We have pictures of both placentas after delivery, but I hesitate to post them as well due to the desire to keep friends!

4. We have a cat named Ginger who loves Jeremy and hates me. Meow!!

5. We love love love the show "24"... in fact it is one of the few shows that we agree on!

We love you all! Here is my challenge to my blogging friends to share some possibly unknown information about yourself and your families!

PROMOTIONS, HATS AND FIRST BATH!

Mr. Modesty wouldn't let me take a picture of him today, so I'm using this one I took last night - Jeremy found out just this morning that he is now the assistant manager of the deli! We are so proud of him!

Lilly loves this hat, and wears it every day these days! Her little phases are so funny! Anyhow, this first picture is her favorite "posed" smile...

And here I caught her with a normal smile!

Zac's hat doesn't stay on as well, but this is a good picture of him wearing it. Doesn't he look like he is in deep thought?

We gave Zac his first real bath yesterday! We went fast and so didn't get any pictures of the bath itself, but here he is in his towel after. It wasn't his favorite moment of the day, but we got through it!
